Utah Composite Windows by AMSCO are handcrafted to have the beauty of a wood window without the upkeep
With the Renaissance Signature Series and Renaissance Masters Series, AMSCO combines high-performance with craftsmanship to produce windows that are both highly energy-efficient and highly attractive.
Heat is lost through window frames, not just the glass. While wood and vinyl frames are thermally efficient, composite frames for the Renaissance Signature Series perform best. They're rated with the lowest K-Value of the three alternatives -- that is, the least amount of heat is transferred through the frame. The composite material has superior dimensional stability, even in high-heat environments, and won't absorb moisture.
Energy-Efficient Low-E Windows
Low-e performance glass is standard for the Renaissance Series, adding to the energy-efficiency. The windows can also be fitted with alternative glass solutions, including new triple-pane glass units, tinted glass, and safety glass. For cold climates, homeowners might prefer glass designed for passive solar applications and protection from heat loss.
Renaissance Composite Windows come in All Sizes and Styles
The Renaissance Signature Series is available in standard sizes and styles, including double-hung, casement, horizontal slider and awning windows. Customized windows for non-standard openings and specialty shapes can also be fabricated with the composite material.
Even more design flexibility is provided with the variety of grid options available. Grids in flat and sculptured profiles can be applied between the glass or to the exterior and interior, simulating mullions to reinforce an architectural theme or simply add interest. They can also be arranged to suggest divided lites.
Composite Retrofit Window's with a Number of Design Options
Something special for retrofits and renovations is added to the Renaissance series with its pocket window option. The pocket window is designed for installation in the pocket of the original wood window opening, with minimal disturbance to the existing interior trim or casing.
With the pocket window option, homeowners can upgrade to a more energy-efficient window without disrupting the aesthetic of the original window. It's available for double hung, tilt, casement, fixed casement, awning, and picture window styles.
The pocket window is assembled with the same outstanding level of craftsmanship as all the windows in the Renaissance Series. That includes classic tongue and groove and mortise and tenon joinery techniques that add structural strength.
Composite Patio Door Options offered with the Renaissance Signature Series
More intriguing design options are offered with the Renaissance Signature Series patio doors, which can be configured as a distinctive statement piece, using combinations of two, three, or four panels, supported by brick mould exterior trim, grids, and a range of hardware styles to complete the effect. The Renaissance Signature Series is available in several rich colors that resist fading, peeling, and scratches, formulated with AMSCO's exclusive co-extruded color process -- a finish more durable than paint. Alternatively, pine wood veneer can be stained or painted.
All AMSCO products meet or exceed quality standards set for the window and door industry and are certified to carry the Energy Star label of the Department of Energy program.
